You can press the Blue Button on the right to go into the backend engine and type by your keyboard. Type help for a comand list. There's a lot more comands I used for debug stuff and unfinished ideas/modules of the computer. so play around. For example rundown will get the LOST button to 3:00 so you dont have to wait so long More will be done with this in the future. Just fun.

For now you have to wait 23 seconds in the beginning. Take some time of silence for what happen 9 years ago. Always remember!

I will be releasing my new portfolio this month. With some new works. I got a new Workstation which is actually just a Dream to work with. Also got a free CS 5 from Adobe since some random guy sent in one of my pictures to a contest under his name. it won. they later realized the picture was stolen from me so they gave me the prize. pretty funny.

otherwise i'm into fulltime freelance since the past 8 months. Even if its harder to make my daily money and I dont earn that much as i used to it makes me pretty happy. Hopefully I can keep doing this

thought its time for a little update. seems like 4 months have passed again just like nothing. i finally left my job. i'm jobless atm. or well i'm freelancing but at the moment i got like nothing.

I wanted to thanks everyone for the feature dd and comments on my new work homeworld. It really pushes me to create more. I'm actually working on a book . Yes. wanted to do this since a few years. you might know when i first started with my account microbot and launched my first folio back in 2005 i released a small booklet called black book. it was a great success for me back then and i thought to make a book with all my new stuff since a lot of things has changed in my work since 2005. i focused more on my worlds and imaginations. my dream is still to become an artist.

Today i wrote a CV and letter for an application in art school for study fine arts. I dont really fit the needs since i dont have any school finish. But i will try it anyway. I'm not sure if i even will start the study if i get accepted but it really sounds interesting to me and its the real thing to what i actually want.

About the health its still weird and i still feel like something is wrong in the right side of my body. but the pain is not that annoying anymore so i can live and keep focus on my work. but i might need to go for a checkup soon since its like really long now.. i'm a lazy guy and sometimes loose motivations for a few days atm. i'm also thinking in moving into a new apartment since the rent is so high in this one.

hey jsut wanted to say that i got again some health issues. Its taking me really down and i cant even finish my paintings which i wanted to finish days ago. The pain takes my concentration and it just sucks. i was allready for a check and got some medicine but it didnt help. so i gotta call the doc again and go for another check. damnit.

I just wish to lose that pain because it makes me crazy. i dont know how much longer i can life like this... i'm crying most the days because i cant do what i want to do. Finish my work. It depresses me as hell.

wuhu... i have a surprise for y'all this weekend. people ask me for prints and reproductions all the time and the fact is i have not produced anything so far and i dont want to sell random prints from third party printers at all. i actually want to produce them myself to have full control over everything, sign and number them etc.

So last week i was in bern. I went to my dads atelier to produce one of my artworks with the people there. Dont want to tell you too much about it yet, i want to make this a surprise. i think most of you know which one it is anyway.

it basically says i'm not allowed to download what i allready payed for!
i lost all my things i bought on itunes. i'm still very pissed off!! what a bullshit i thought these days such a virtual store would know what i allready payed for, and sure it can but due some shitty law i'm not allowed to download it again or something. so the law actually makes me break the law! because now i'm going to get me back whats already mine! anyway i made my last apple buy today.

also that those files aren't open mp3 is ridicules to me. i was like 4 or 5 when i copied an AC/DC tape, repainted the cover and sold it to a friend for some sweets. i should be put in jail for that!

seems like this report i sent with itunes actually sent a report to get my money back. but still i dont really get what the fuck this is. when i try to download again it says to it will charge my credit card.. this whole apple shit is just not 100% userfriendly in my opinion. i have no idea if i just can download them now and they charge or not. this is frustrating so fuck this bullshit. i'm done with itunes.

I think this should be the way of scrolling in any kind of website in the next years.

it actually looks very simple but this was taking me lots of time to complete. i had some days working 24 hours nonstop to get this work. i also tested a lot but still it isnt 100% perfect. flash can be really a pain and i had to workout a lot of solutions.

I would really appriciate every feedback and bug report




*known bugs:
At some points there seems that the thumbnails sometimes turn to black. i didnt figured it out yet what is causing it and when it is hapening.

sometimes the thumbnails show to be on page 2 while bringing them into view but instead its on page 1. dont have any idea what is causing this.

some wacom updates
got some news of the cintiq. i got a protection from nuShield now. It works fine. gets blury in some angles but its okay. What I also realized at the edges the cursor really starts getting shaky.. its also very unprecise at the corners. but thats a known issue i think.

otherwise i will release my new gallery on microbot.ch in about 2 days. thought its time to do something new with more focus on the gallery.

WACOM CINTIQ 21UX MY PERSONAL OPINION ABOUT WACOM: 04.11.2008
I'm writing this journal since I fullfilled a dream i had since i started working in photoshop. A Wacom Cintiq 21UX.. Yes finally after waiting one Year I got it. First day I unpacked it, reading everything carefully and taking care really much. So i set it up and everything went well, i was happy with it. Now see what happen:

Day 1:
I know from my intuos 2 that the surface can get scratches and it was one of my biggest concern buying a cintiq. I asked a friend which has a cintiq from 2006 and he told me he didnt get any scratches over the years. So i was sure this piece of machinery must have a really good surface, better then the one from intuos 2/1 even better then the 3rd. That finally made me buy the cintiq. I was sure it wouldnt get scratched, still i was very careful with it but just wanted to enjoy painting. I did and after a long long night i went to sleep happy.

Day 2:
I couldnt wait for my pc to startup load all the image in photoshop and start painting. But something else happened. In fact i was getting shocked. It seemd there was some kinda dirt on the surfcae? i tried cleaning it up with a microfiber cloth and to my shock i had to realize it was small tiny scratches which affected the light from the monitor causing some kind of rainbow effect on very bright colors.

What the heck is wrong here? Well actually nothing. This is the surface which in my view is utter crap!!!! The old ones from 2006/05 which my friend has used glas only. Then wacom changed to acrylic with some coat but they realized it scratches too easy and changed back to glas but this time also with a coat. Now it still scratches. No matter what i try what i do it seems to get more and more scratches all over the surface. I know that minor scratches which are very thin are normal. they dont affect the image and you cant feel them with the pen nib but the ones i got i can allready feel with the pen after only 2 days.

Day 3:
I wrote wacom an Email since the Forum seemd to be down (i will come to this later on). I thought i would get an answer imediatly on the same day as i thought wacom has a good support. Well wrong...

Day 10:
Yea over 1 week later. They finally managed to answer me. "Dear David, Scratches are not included in warranty. Regards, Wacom support" This is no joke! This is what they really wrote me. one sentence.

So i realized Wacoms support is horrible these days. They dont care about you and your problem with THEIR product. We have to consider that sometime back their Brand was different! It was made for professionals. then wacom wanted to attract the consumer. So they made huge changes in their brand. Just compare the new logo with their old one. The new one is so crap it fits perfect to their new brand, the consumer brand.

What is wrong? Why it scratches? Is it normal?
First of all I didnt do anything wrong! I'm using wacom tablets since years. I had an intuos 1, 2 and intuos 3. The 1 and 2 became scratches after 1-2 years.but i didnt really take care of it at all. The 3 dont seem to have any so far. So the cintiq gets scratched noticeable in 2 days? This is not acceptable. And sure the scratches are in the center where i painted the most which to me tells it must be the pen nib. So i changed it.

Why wacom wasnt that smart to make a surface which can be replaced easy like on the intuos1/2/3/? why they not made some kind of protection sheet for it?

Am I just too much worried?
no I'm not too much worried. I just care for something i payed a lot of money for. and comparing a small scratch to the whole cintiq it is such a small part which affects your whole work experience.


Is it common?
Yes it is. It wasnt in 2006 since then they had the models with the glas only. But since they changed that it has happened to a lot customers!

What is Wacom doing against it?
I made a research and heard Wacom took down the forum because of users who got they're cintiq scratched and tried to make wacom pay. They showed how the pen nib was scratching the cintiq. Yea thats how wacom handles problems these days. Just hide them! They closed down the support forum back in May and it says due technical issues the forum will be back in few days. Sure wacom. few days.. sure! bunch of liers! I can tell you it wont come back in the next days/weeks it wont even come back in a year! and if it will we guys with scratched cintiqs will imediatly post pics there again.

Wacom Support
The wacom support is really aweful these days. i never had problems back in 2004. Since their brand changed it seems also their support changed. In the ende there will be no other way to pay wacom another 500$ to replace the surface, thank you wacom! THANKS!

What else
So what do i have to say except the scratches? Well.. The cintiq is awesome otherwise. everything to me is perfect except the screen. Its nice to handle and rotate and painting with it in photoshop or whatever software you want to use. I dont really want to get back to a normal tablet at all. But the scratches are a huge problem which i cant really accept and doesnt make me enjoy it much.

Solution?
I never wanted to attach a protection to it since i love the feeling. But now i dont have any other choice. I ordered a protection which i dont want to name it atm since i first want to try them and if they're good or even bad i'll name them. Wacom tells people that you will lose warranty when using a protector. What a joke! making a surface which is not really scratch proof at all and then not leting people attach a protection. What a politic! nice one wacom... really nice you bastards. Anyway i will attach it.



In the end i can only say booooo to wacom and hope they will realize their faults. Thats why i need to spread the word about this and write it in my journal. I also will post this in my blog etc.

People need to know this so wacom will be forced to do something!

I just got the results from my checkup and the Doc is sure there is nothing serious. My lungs looks okay which i was affraid most. So they think its the Tietze Syndrom which there is not known much about. But the pain should go away after some months so i'll have to wait bit more and hope the pain will go away. Well I allready have it since like 2 months so I really hope it goes away soon. I cant live my whole life with these pains.

Anyway i'm happy its nothing serious found.

hello everyone,
i'm sorry i couldn't stand my words from the last time. I didn't feel to show a preview since the work was missing huge parts and i stopped working on it at some point. Then some time after my first journal I got stuck in health issues which still are not fixed. I will get informed next tuesday if its something serious or not. I dont have a good feeling at all. Had to make a full checkup for some really serious issues. :/ Its quite hard to wait now and I prepared myself for everything.

Anyway I got some new work for the next DC pack which should be released soon and I'm finishing the Big Tree which will be called Made Not Born now (i guess). Not sure when I'll show panel 1 but i think it should be almost finished now. I could still work for weeks on it.. hehe

and finally thanks again for all the comments, opinions and critiques to my pictures! Its very much appreciated.

It might become a giant illustration since i'm doing it in several parts. i almost finished the base part last week and allready started working on the second part which will become some of the middle parts. Its going to be like the Drug free zone. its called big tree

Dont know when i will release this project. but i think the first sneak peeks i'll show in about 2 weeks
